Susanne Bier is no stranger to troubled marriages and unhappy relationships – her Dogme outing Open Hearts focused on people finding love in unexpected (and socially awkward) places – so she seems the perfect person to direct an adaptation of Amanda Foreman’s novel Georgina, Duchess Of Devonshire.
